Lou’s Place:
Lou’s Place, located in Redfern, is a community-based daytime drop-in centre for women in crisis.
On average, 40 women access Lou’s every day to have a cooked meal, receive legal and social support, to have a shower and access emergency clothing, or to partake in social interactions through the daily classes and activities.
Most of the women who visit have experienced multiple traumas, with the majority facing issues of homelessness, domestic violence, mental health, and drug and alcohol abuse.
